Please find below the Scholarship funds which are available to Accrington & Rossendale College students.

 

The Jacob Bridge Mechanical Scholarship +

“To provide Scholarships for one or more students of the College who are following courses in Further or Higher Education associated with the study of Technology, Engineering or Science.”

The AccRoss Scholarship Committee has deemed that annual awards will be made to 5 current college FE learners and to 5 current HE learners under the following categories:

  • Excellence – one FE Learner and one HE learner
  • Endeavour – one FE Learner and one HE learner
  • Greatest Contribution – one FE Learner and one HE learner
  • Overcoming greatest obstacles – one FE Learner and one HE learner
  • Progress – one FE Learner and one HE learner
The James Tasker Scholarship +

To provide Scholarships for one or more students of the college who are following courses associated with Electrical Engineering or Electronics.”

The AccRoss Scholarship Committee has deemed that annual awards will be made to 5 current college FE learners and to 5 current HE learners under the following categories:

  • Excellence – one FE Learner and one HE learner
  • Endeavour – one FE Learner and one HE learner
  • Greatest Contribution – one FE Learner and one HE learner
  • Overcoming greatest obstacles – one FE Learner and one HE learner
  • Progress – one FE Learner and one HE learner
The Heap, Kenyon, Ormerod Scholarship +

“To provide Scholarships for one or more current and former students of Accrington & Rossendale College who are undertaking Higher Education programmes of study.”

The AccRoss Scholarship Committee has deemed that annual awards will be made to 2 current HE Students, who had previously been FE students at the College under the following categories:

  •  Overcoming greatest obstacles – one current HE learner
  • Progress – one current HE learner
The Pilkington Scholarship Fund +

“To provide Scholarships or grants tenable at any University or other institution of Further Education in Great Britain approved by the trustees for persons under the age of 25 years who are proposing to pursue a course of study leading to a Degree and who have attended both the Accrington and Rossendale Tertiary College and a Secondary School in the borough of Hyndburn.”

The Pilkington Scholarship Committee has deemed that annual awards will be made to 5 current college FE learners, who have previously attend a Secondary School in Hyndburn and are intending to follow an HE course leading to a Degree. (The award will only be made once the nominees have begun their degree course). The five awards will be made in the following categories:

  • Excellence – one  current FE Learner intending to progress to HE
  • Endeavour – one  current FE Learner intending to progress to HE
  • Greatest Contribution – one  current FE Learner intending to progress to HE
  • Overcoming greatest obstacles – one  current FE Learner intending to progress to HE
  • Progress – one  current FE Learner intending to progress to HE
The Accrington & Rossendale College Trust Fund +

The advancement of education by way of the provision of prizes for one or more students of the College to enable students to travel in Britain or abroad for the purpose of Furthering Education.”

The AccRoss Scholarship Committee has deemed that the Principal may make awards, on its behalf, under this scheme.
