Overview

The purpose of this apprenticeship is to train IT Infrastructure Technicians to work effectively within a business environment.

An IT Infrastructure Technician provides support to internal and external customers, helping them to be productive when using technology to do their own jobs, by using tools to problem solve and trouble shoot non-routine problems. The IT Infrastructure Technician sets people up on systems and provides support when they need it, rectifying issues to maintain the organisations productivity.

Support will be offered to find your apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

  • English Grade A*-C/9-5 (or equivalent)
  • Maths Grade A*-C/9-5 (or equivalent)
  • College interview

Applicants who do not meet the exact entry requirements may also be considered.

Applicants who have not achieved at least a grade C/4 in English and Math’s will continue to study these subjects alongside their chosen college course

How will I be assessed?

Throughout the course you will create a digital portfolio of the knowledge and skills that you gain through college and the workplace. At the end of the course you will conduct an End Point Assessment (End Point Assessment), to evidence the new skills that you have gained throughout the course

 

Progression and employment

Advanced apprentices could progress onto our Level 4 HNC Computing Apprenticeship or other higher-level qualification.
