Overview

This qualification is ideal for learners wishing to gain the knowledge and skills required to administer effective emergency paediatric first aid.

Subjects covered include the roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider, how to provide first aid to an infant or child who is unresponsive, how to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use of an AED.

Entry requirements

Learners must be over 16 and is suitable for learners in early years’ settings or domestic.

How will I be assessed?

The course tutor will use a variety of methods included practical demonstrations and written tasks.

Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

Progression and employment

The course lends itself well to those learners wishing to advance their education, as it will provide knowledge across a wide range of level two certificates and diplomas in the early years sector.
