Greening The College

Our environmental policy 

The college will promote the use of sustainable resources and discourage wasteful or damaging environmental practices.  

What will we do? 

·    Minimise the impact of transport on the environment arising from our own vehicles and those brought onto the college campus. 

·    Manage and conserve energy and water within the college premises. 

·    Promote and raise awareness and understanding of environmental issues amongst all staff and students 

·    Consider the environmental impact of any new college development. 

·    Promote environmentally responsible procurement of goods and services. 

·    Comply with all relevant environmentally responsible procurement of goods and services. 

·    Minimise waste and ensure effective recycling controls. 

·    We are working towards a smoke free environment.

·    We provide environmental information for staff and students.

·    We lease energy efficient vehicles.

·    We use energy efficient bulbs and lighting.

·    We purchase products made from recycled paper.

·    We recycle paper, envelopes, plastics, can and furniture.

·    We recycle electrical equipment.

·    We recycle ink and toner cartridges.
