Business Administration Apprentice at Cleverboxes Ltd.

Hourly Rate:     £4.50 per hour

Working closely with our senior purchasing manager you will be responsible for ensuring all orders are placed in the correct timescale as well as making sure customers are updated on deliveries accordingly as well as any potential issues/delays.

A key aspect of the assistant product manager are accuracy and consistency while ensuring project deadlines are met. Excellent communication skills are key to establish and maintain internal and external relationships to facilitate product and supplier maintenance. ICT competence is also vital to the role with technical.

Duties and Responsibilities:

All apprentices will be given support and training to perform to the best of your ability whilst gaining valuable experience as to how companies build successful online trade.

A key aspect of the role will be recognising any potential issues or delays in an appropriate amount of time and ensuring the customer is made aware and dealt with accordingly. The main aim is to ensure the customer journey from straight to finish is as easy and straightforward as possible.

General administration duties will be expected such as:

  • Ensure all express shipments leave the warehouse same day, make Customer Services aware of any issues.
  • Ensure all direct drop orders are chased and fulfilled on the required ETA day, again reporting any potential issues to Customer Services.
  • Ensure all orders due into the Warehouse are fulfilled on the required ETA day, reporting any discrepancies to suppliers and Customer Services.
  • Raise Purchase orders for express shipments in a timely manner, ensuring stock is available. Engage with suppliers to ensure best possible pricing.
  • Regularly check and update internal systems such as Kewill & Netsuite ensuring orders are processed and dealt with accordingly.
  • Build up a rapport with existing suppliers, ensure regular contact via email or telephone.
  • Liaise with Customer Services on a regular basis regarding delayed/out of stock orders to ensure ETA’s are adhered to.


  • Relevant qualifications to participate in Higher Apprenticeship Business Administration
  • Computer literate with some knowledge or exposure of Microsoft Excel
  • Desire to understand the product market and competition.
  • Good communications skills
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Strong time management skills.

Working Conditions:

Sufficient office work space with suitable work station (laptop or PC) with dual screen, telephone and suitable seating with desk space.

Reporting to:

Report directly to the Purchasing Manager.
