The Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Apprenticeship is popular with employers in England.
The aim of the apprenticeship framework is to attract new people into the Vehicle Maintenance & Repair from a wide variety of backgrounds to replace those who leave / retire and to up skill the existing workforce in England.
The Vehicle Maintenance & Repair framework is supported by a wide range of employers of all sizes (micro, small/medium and large) across the sector including Jaguar, Toyota, Ford and BMW
The industry relies on a steady flow of new entrants and apprentices to help meet the skills needs of employers and to replace an aging workforce.
Apprentices will spend their time within a Light Vehicle Repair Garage to train and learn the skills needed to become a Diagnostic Technician learning how to diagnose, test and repair, replace faulty parts and maintain records on a range of vehicles including light and heavy vehicles, trailers, motorcycles, caravans and motor homes.
