This course has been designed to provide a good, basic understanding of nutrition to enable learners to plan well-balanced meals that will have a positive impact on health.  The course is suitable for job roles which involve preparing, or planning meals for groups of people perhaps in a School / Nursery / Hospital / Residential Care Home.

This course:

  • Provides a good basic understanding of nutrition
  • Enables learners to understand the requirements of a balanced diet
  • Promotes awareness of differing needs, allergies and food intolerances.

On successful completion of this one day course participants will receive an accredited, recognised qualification and certificate.

How will I be assessed?

This qualification is assessed by completion of written workbook and personal action plan during the course.
