Would you like to learn new job search skills or improve your existing skills to help you gain employment?

The Introduction to Job Search Skills: Get That Job course allows learners to develop the skills needed to be effective in all the stages of their job search. The aim of the course is to help learners:

  • Complete job searches using a variety of resources
  • Develop and practice interview skills
  • Prepare themselves thoroughly for a job interview
  • Progress a job application from job search to completed application including preparing covering letters and completing application forms
  • Understand confidence and self-esteem and how this can influence their job search
  • Understand the purpose of a CV and be able to produce their own appropriate, effective CV.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through the completion of a workbook/portfolio.

Level 1 Award in Skills for Employment (QCF)

Progression and employment

You can progress on to a range of vocationally relevant qualifications at the College.

How much will the course cost me?
