There are several routes into higher education and your choice depends largely on previous experience or qualifications.

Once you have established your route into higher education, you will need to apply for full-time courses through UCAS.

You will need to apply for full-time courses through UCAS.

Once we have your application, you will be invited to an interview so that we can discuss your academic and career plans and help you choose the most appropriate course for you.

The traditional route +

With A / AS- Levels, a BTEC National Diploma or an Advanced GNVQ.

Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) route +

This allows your previous skills and experience, gained through work, home or other duties, to count towards higher education entry.

Joining an access course route +

A one year Access to Higher Education Diploma (AHED) is an ideal foundation for degree level study.

These courses have been specially designed for adults returning to study and are a proven and successful route to higher education.

The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a QAA accredited course that provides students with an essential qualification, subject specific knowledge, and skills to progress to studies at university level. A one year Access to Higher Education Diploma (AHED) is designed for adults in particular who wish to return to study and is a proven and successful route to university study.  Previous students who have been successful in their university study often return to college as guest speakers giving you the opportunity to hear real stories of ‘how to get there’.
