Apprenticeship Open Event

Students are offered opportunities unrivalled elsewhere – Motor Engineering students enjoyed a visit from Quentin Willson

Accrington and Rossendale College are hosting an Apprenticeship Open Event on Wednesday 3rdOctober.

Taking place from 4pm – 7pm at the Broad Oak Campus on Broad Oak Road, the event is an informal evening that will give potential apprentices the chance to ask questions, get clarification about the application process, find out what courses are suitable for you, discuss current job opportunities, and to take home further information – allowing you to make a decision that could potentially change the rest of your life.

As one of the largest apprenticeship providers in East Lancashire, Accrington and Rossendale College boast time-served tradespeople as tutors and unrivalled opportunities for their students.

The event is ideal for students who have just left school and those who are leaving school in 2019 who are still unsure about what route to take into further education. Apprenticeships have appeal for many as you can earn while you learn and apprentices can be appointed throughout the year, so if you aren’t quite ready to decide what you want to do, you have time for consideration and can also come back to it at a later date.

Tutors from Accrington and Rossendale College will be there to assist and guide attendees with what route you may choose to take into further education, as well as local employers to show you what careers are available.

We have a variety of apprenticeships on offer in many different departments including:

Charlotte Scheffmann, Assistant Principal at Accrington and Rossendale College, commented:

“We are looking forward to meeting prospective future students. We are proud to be a vocational college and one of the largest providers of apprenticeships in the borough. We have fantastic apprenticeship links with local businesses which is hugely beneficial for those wanting to study and work local. I urge anyone considering an apprenticeship or those unsure about what they would like to do upon leaving school to attend this event.”
