Anyone seeking to upskill or improve their professional credentials in the new year now can with a range of short course qualifications offered by Nelson and Colne College and Accrington and Rossendale College.

A series of adult advice events will be held in January where visitors can find out more about the wide range of Professional Skills qualifications offered by the Colleges, the levels of study, ways to study and the financial support that may be available.

Sectors included in the offer include Hair and Beauty, Construction and Motor Vehicle, Business and Professional Services, Engineering, Sport and Leisure, Facilities and Cleaning Services, and Health and Social Care, Childcare, and Education.

At the events, information will also be available on Higher Education through the College Group’s University Centre and a wide range of leisure, wellbeing and Functional Skills courses under the community learning offer with Lancashire Adult Learning.

The adult advice events will be held at:

  • Nelson and Colne College on Tuesday 7 January, 5pm-7pm
  • The Waterside Centre Accrington on Wednesday 8 January, 11am-3pm
  • Accrington and Rossendale College on Thursday 9 January, 5pm-7pm
