Course Overview

The aim of this programme is to introduce individuals to both the healthcare and adult social care sector as an option for sustained employment.

The programme is designed to allow the individual to understand what it takes to work in health and social care settings and the many employment options within the sector. As part of the programme, learners will complete short courses in a range of subjects to upskill and increase knowledge in sector-specific topics to improve opportunities for progressing into a number of employment pathways.

The design of the programme was in collaboration with employers and other stakeholders to create a programme that would prepare learners for progression either to a higher level or into sustained employment. As part of the programme, you will have the opportunity to meet a number of organisations with a range of vacancies which we will support you both with placement opportunities and support with preparation in the application and interview process.

As this programme is aimed at progressing individuals into employment within the sector, guaranteed placement opportunities will also be available in a range of healthcare and adult social care environments.
