Accrington and Rossendale College were delighted to host and support the launch of the Guild of Bricklayers Competition 2022, a platform for learners to showcase their excellent creative skills and techniques and their knowledge and awareness of brickwork.

Founded in 1932, The Guild is an association with the aims of promoting and maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship in Brickwork. Each year the Guild, through its network of sections, organise regional brickwork competitions. These are sponsored by brick, mortar and tool manufacturers and attract 300 competitors.

William Bowman, President of the Guild of Bricklayers said “Competitions are a long-standing tradition within the Guild dating back over 40 years. The knowledge and skills of the craft of Bricklaying has certainly benefited from these competitions”.
