This course involves learners spending the majority of their study time working with an employer and a short amount of time in college. Whilst working with an employer, learners will have a ‘Job Coach’ who will support them in their work placement. This support will be reduced over time as learner’s progress through the course.
Supported Internships are personalised to each individual learner and each learner may study additional qualifications such as:
- Food Safety
- Safeguarding
- Customer Service
- CSCS
- First Aid
- Health and Safety
Also included in the course are:
- Maths
- English
- Tutorial
- Extracurricular Activities
Throughout this course you will develop your skills and understanding of the world of work. As you will work at a specific workplace, then you will develop skills for that area of work.
Supported Internships can be completed in a wide range of different workplaces such as; cafes, garages, shops, schools, colleges, nurseries, garden center’s etc…
